Deus Ex [Short]

So, any of you who liked Half-Life or any of those old-style shooters, you'l love this game... It's been hailed by many as the best game ever made and I'm sure you've heard about it, but if you've never played it, you should. The only way I can really describe it is Fallout 3 + Half-Life... (amazing, right?) It's a very old game, this being the case the graphics are absolutely terrible and I can't help but laugh at some of the voice acting, but the gameplay is just so damn good that it makes up for all of it's flaws.

It's going for $10 on Steam, and it's certainly worth it, but I'm sure you could find it somewhere else for cheaper if you really wanted (I'm not going to look, Steam is just too damn convenient.)

Fallout: New Vegas DLC

Just finishing my 2nd playthough of the Fallout: New Vegas DLC (Downloadable Content), Dead Money. Probably the best DLC in terms of quality and length, and it's one of my favorites in terms of immersion and story (which is a big part of the Fallout experience to me.)

Basically, if you've ever played Fallout 3 or New Vegas, you'll now once you beat the main storyline, you basically just run around and do side quests/explore when you're playing the game. The side quests can be quite boring and exploring gets old rather fast, so all there is left is to wait for the new DLC to come out. Dead Money came out about a week ago and I finished it within the first day, naturally (it's meant to be around 6 hours or so of playtime), and I had a blast. The story is genuinely interesting and a nice fit for the game. I don't want to give anything away, but the first couple hours are a bit boring, but once you get inside the casino it gets rather interesting.

It's definitely worth getting if you have F:NV, only $10 and it's a good 6+ hours of entertainment (plus you get a few Steam achievements, and if you're like me, thats a big deal.)

Steam Review - Bulletstorm (Plus, Braid is on Sale!!)

So, I'm sure you've all heard a lot about Bulletstorm, it was pretty hyped up back when it was first starting to get coverage and since then it's blown up quite quickly. Basically, its an FPS with a bit of a scoring system, which I'll go into detail on later. The first thing you need to know about this game is, ITS AWESOME. This is one of the first games in a while that I've actually enjoyed playing every second of, and I've yet to talk to someone who doesn't absolutely love it.

The game itself is pretty fast-paced, and feels very smooth and fluid in the way that it works. Essentially, it's an FPS with a scoring system based on how you kill people, called "skillshots" (i.e. you get a skillshot for a headshot, a throat shot, etc.) There's absolutely TONS of these killshots and they're incredibly fun to discover and perform. Some of the best include "Pricked", which involves pushing a person into a cactus and killing them, "Rear Entry" which you get for shooting an enemy in the ass, and "Bullet Kick" which you get for using the kick ability and then shooting your enemy at close range.

The game so far is fun as hell, but the story is fairly weak and hard to care about, but that'll all be made up for the first time you get awarded for shooting a guy in the ass, I promise. The graphics are absolutely stunning and the game runs very smoothly on highest settings on my PC (I'll post my specs on the page.)

As of now, the game has no online multiplayer, but it's speculated that it will be coming out shortly (which will be amazing.) Once it comes out, I'll be sure to give you guys my info and wreck it up ;P

Here's the link for Bulletstorm on Steam, I highly recommended you buy it if you're interested. -

Also, Braid is on sale, 70% off (which makes it a mere $2.99). This game is more than worth it, I had tons of fun with it a while back, and if you don't have it yet, you'd be stupid not to buy it now. Here's the link -

What this blog will be about...

I've decided to start a blog about my daily goings-ons in the video games I play, including World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, and many more. I also plan to talk about my real life and things that I may have found interesting or funny therein.

Here's a bit of background info on me and my gaming life:

I am a college student attending Northern Arizona University, majoring in Business CIS. I am a pretty laid back guy, I love to browse the internet and I am an avid PC gamer, some of my favorite games include WoW, Fallout 3 or New Vegas, Minecraft, and anything by Valve. I currently work part-time as a PC technician, but I don't work very often seeing as how I've got tons of class and homework to take care of...

As for my WoW life, here's a link to my character - I play quite a bit and lately I've been very involved with raiding and I'm slowly getting into PvP, but I'm not the best. I've been playing for a total of just about 3 years on different toons/accounts, but on my current main (and this will be my only main until I quit), I've played for about a year and a half.

I play quite a bit of Steam games as well, Team Fortress 2, the Fallout games, and of course all the Valve games (Portal, Half-Life, L4D.) If you want my SteamID, feel free to ask and I'll give it out, don't really feel the need though currently.

Hello everyone!
